Lisa Marie Schloegel
Program Officer, Consortium for Conservation Medicine, based at Wildlife Trust
Lisa Schloegel received her BA in Psychobiology along with a minor in Professional Writing from Arcadia University (formerly Beaver College). During her college career she studied abroad at James Cook University, Townsville, Australia, and participated in a census of monkey species inhabiting the rainforests of Bioko Island, Equatorial Guinea, Africa. Following graduation, she studied the ecology and intra-species relationships of howler monkeys while at the Ometepe Island field station in Nicaragua. She served as an intern at Defenders of Wildlife before accepting a position at Central Montgomery MH/MR Center as an Intensive Case Manager. She is currently enrolled in a PhD program at Kingston University, England studying the role of the wildlife trade in the spread of emerging diseases, including the amphibian disease chytridiomycosis.
